About me

I am an unashamed cat (and chicken) lady who enjoys making colorful and playful mixed media paintings that depict life with cats as I see it.

Born in the UK, I longed for a cat of my own as a child, but had to make do with the next-door neighbor’s (which I secretly tired to make my own). It was not until I moved to Barcelona, Spain, in the 90s that I was able to get her my first cat, and it was his quirky and crazy cattitude that inspired me to start painting them.

My art is strongly influenced by a love of picture books from my childhood, combine with a fascination for folk art, especially from Mexico. I have been lucky enough to exhibit my artwork in Barcelona and several locations in the US.

I currently live on the Long Island Sound where I am inspired by the natural world out my window, and of course my furry and feathered crew. When I’m not painting I love gardening (veggies and wildlife focused), hiking (especially if I can get to Maine), hiking, rock climbing, vegan cooking, collecting vintage home decor items and mostly sitting with my menagerie.
